We use Stripe as our card processor, and they are PCI Level 1 compliant, which is the highest rating in card security. Stripe is used around the world by large companies and is one of the most trusted platforms for secure card payments.
Tips to reassure your customers
Mobile card payment apps are still very new technology, so if your customers are wary about the security of Smart App you could give them this information to reassure them:
- If you’re doing a face-to-face payment, let your customer hold your mobile and check the amount. Let them accept the job themselves so they can see what the app is doing and give them control over the transaction.
- No card details are ever stored on your phone or Quotatis servers. The long card number and the expiry date is only available for that transaction and the Smart App or the Smart Dashboard never record a customer’s card details.
- Stripe takes 7 days (including weekends) to process a payment to check that no fraudulent payments make it through the system. This protects the merchant and the customer.
There is nothing to worry about with the Smart App. Whether your customers pay by card on your mobile, through a Paylink or over the phone with the Smart Dashboard, they can rest assured that their card details are safe.
