If you’ve been a member of Quotatis for the past few months, you’ll have seen that there’s been plenty of changes going on in our Smart App. Back in December 2018, we gave it a completely new look, and made it much easier for our pros to access their job enquiries.
It’s been a great year for the Quotatis Smart App – we’ve been adding new features almost monthly. Here’s the low-down on some of the best features we’ve launched in 2019.
Pick extra opportunities
If you’re on our premium Smart Connect account, you’ll get your enquiries delivered straight to you so you can contact the customer right away.
But we know that sometimes you might want to grab a bit of extra work, so now you can see and pick job enquiries that are slightly out of the area you’ve set up on your account or are for a similar trade that you don’t currently take enquiries for.
You’ll get a notification when we’ve got an extra opportunity for you, where you’ll see the first part of the customer’s post code, a description of the work and the price of the enquiry. If it sounds like a job for you, then you can pick it and call the customer straight away.
Contact customers straight from the app
Once you’ve picked or received an enquiry, it’s important to contact the customer as soon as possible – we recommend within 10 minutes. It helps you make a good impression and increase the chances of the customer hiring you.
It can be difficult keeping track of which customers you’ve called and using which methods – but it doesn’t have to be. With the Smart App, you can just tap on the customer’s enquiry and click the ‘Call’ button. And if you can’t get through, tap the ‘SMS’ and ‘Email’ buttons to try to get through that way.
Update your payment details
We know it’s a pain when your payment fails because your card has expired, so now we’ll send you a notification so you can update your card details. We’re working on adding a feature so you can update your card whether it’s about to expire or not, so you’ve got full control over your payments.
Upload your documents
Before the Smart App, you had to call our customer services team on 0203 514 4085 to send us your public liability insurance and proof of ID. Now it’s easy to do in a couple of taps on the app.
Simply go to ‘Account’ on the Smart App then ‘Upload documents’. Then choose ‘Documents’ or ‘Trades & certifications’, and tap the ‘+’ button. You can upload images or PDF files. They’ll be sent to customer services to moderate, and when your documents are approved you’ll get a notification.
Request more info
You told us that you want to be able to ask customers for more information about their project before you pick an enquiry. We listened – and now, in the ‘Available’ tab, you can tap on an enquiry and tap the ‘Request more info’ button. We can’t guarantee that the customer will come back with more information, but we’ll drop them an email to ask.
Ask your customers to write you a review
You also asked to be able to request a post-work review from your customers. So we’ve added that in too! Tap on the customer’s enquiry, scroll down to ‘Review request’ then tap ‘Request review’. Your customer will get an email asking them to review your company, and when they’ve completed it, the review will show on your Smart Profile. The more reviews you have and the better your star rating, the higher you’ll appear on our directory – and you might even end up on the Quotatis home page.
We send reminders to your customers 1 day after they made their enquiry to leave a pre-work review and we’ll remind them 10 days after they made their enquiry to leave a post-work review.
Edit your Smart Profile
Your Smart Profile is more than just a place to store reviews. The customers we send you, and maybe even customers that find you on Google, will take a look at your profile before deciding whether to hire you or not, so it’s important to make it look as attractive as possible.
Use the app to write a company description and add your qualifications and trade associations. You can also upload your logo and photos of the work you’re most proud of to show customers that you’re a reputable tradesperson. You can even add photos to individual projects – when the customer writes a review, they’ll appear next to it.
Simply head to ‘Account’, then tap ‘Gallery’ and tap ‘Camera’ to take a photo and upload it straight away, or ‘Gallery’ to choose one that you’ve already taken.
