The FIT Show wrapped up on Thursday, April 18, after a hugely successful three day event. The nations’ finest trade professionals met under one roof to share ideas and promote their products at the packed Telford International Centre.
And the show’s standout event was on Wednesday, April 17, with the Gala Dinner hosted by comic Ed Byrne. Throughout the evening, a number of awards were presented, including the Sales Professional of the Year sponsored by consumer matching service Quotatis.
After a tightly contested competition, there were just three finalists battling it out for the £10,000 prize money, with Adrian Phillips from Nolan UPVC crowned as champion. Quotatis’ very own Tom Crosswell presented Adrian with his winning cheque and praised all three finalists for their excellent skillset.
Tom said: “First, we’d just like to say that all three finalists were terrific. It’s about time the industry was rewarded for the good work put in and all three were a cut above the rest that were interviewed in the preliminary stages.
“However, Adrian came out on top over five assessments, looking at everything from design explanation to the quote and close of a sales pitch. He thoroughly deserves the recognition from fellow professionals for an excellent sales approach which has been perfected over many years.
“This award is very important and we at Quotatis were delighted to be able to sponsor the prestigious title. We’re all about quality for the consumer and we want to eliminate the stigma of cowboys, rogue traders and pushy salesman with less than impressive sales tactics.”
