We caught up with one Keep Busy member to find out how they’re doing with the scheme.

Vulcan Services (North West), run by Mark Chorlton, has been trading for 6 years. They specialise in domestic and commercial energy efficiency and renewable energy installations.
Mark came on board with NAPIT Keep Busy last month and has just finished his 30-day free trial. He told us about how the scheme has been going for him.

“The app [is the best thing about the service] because I can use it on the go.” Squote-1ays Mark. The Smart App allows you to pick the customer enquiries you want to quote for, then send the customers quotes and invoices using the app. You can even take card payments with the Smart App, so you can get paid quicker.

Lead quality is of course a top priority for our Keep Busy Scheme members, and Mark is no different. He understands how lead generation works and that you might not get through to every customer. “The leads are better quality than those I was receiving for solar panels [from another company],” he says. “Some people do answer, and others don’t, but it’s one of those things.”

quote-21Mark is also finding the marketing side of the Keep Busy Scheme beneficial. He’s filled out his Smart Profile, where customers can go to find out about his business. “There’s no brand awareness with my business at the moment so we’re really trying to push advertising. I need to get customers leaving me reviews too.”

Another feature of the Keep Busy Scheme is the ratings and reviews system which allows customers to review contractors after they have been matched with them and after they have completed the work. Not only does this help boost awareness about Mark’s company, but it also helps customers to see that Mark is a trusted electrician and gives great customer service.

But what is the biggest benefit to the NAPIT Keep Busy Scheme? “The biggest benefit is that it offers very good quality leads and it’s easier to have the app rather than having to pick up emails all the time.” Mark said.

When we asked Mark whether he would recommend the Keep Busy scheme to other NAPIT members, he said “Yes – as long as they’re not in my area!”
