So how can you make the most out of your Smart Profile to help you win more work? We’ve got some tips on how to make your Smart Profile work hard.
1. Tell customers what makes your company unique
You want to stand out against your competitors and show customers why they should pick you for their project over anyone else. Use your company description to do this.
In the Smart Profile tab on your Quotatis dashboard, you can write a short description about your company. Think about what makes your company different – do you offer free extras? 24/7 callouts? An exclusive guarantee? Focus on these unique value propositions to show customers how great you really are.
2. Channel your inner customer
When you’re looking to start a home improvement project, what really matters to you? Think like a customer to write your company description to reflect what they are really looking for. Use simple language and include details that your customers will want to know about. For example, if you’re a window company, mention your FENSA or CERTASS membership – it will help instil trust in you.
We include all of your certifications on your profile for you, but mentioning them yourself in your listing will help customers to see that you are professional and serious about your work.
3. Utilise your reviews
Your Smart Profile also displays all your Smart Reviews from your previous customers, and you should use these to construct your company description. Take what these real customers say and place it in your description. If your customers often mark you highly for phone manner, mention your friendly customer service. If they say that your prices are competitive, emphasise this too.
4. Add photos of your team and your work
Customers love to put a face to a name, so make sure you add a photo of yourself and any other team members into the ‘Staff Photos’ folder under the ‘My Photos’ tab on your Smart Profile. You can name each photo, which will help customers feel at ease when you or another colleague goes to their house to give them a quote. They’ll already have an idea of who you are.
It’s also a great idea to take some good before and after photos of your work. Customers still get worried about ‘rogue traders’, so if you can prove that you’ve done great work in the past, they will be much more likely to choose you over another company that doesn’t have any examples of their work. 5. Add a link to your website
If you’ve got a website, make sure you add the link to your Smart Profile. This will help customers to see that you’re a credible professional that takes their work seriously.
